Dreaming of an Italian-inspired wedding venue but a plane ticket to Italy isn’t exactly in your wedding budget? In the heart of East Texas sits an expansive venue that sits on 50 acres of rolling hills reminiscent of the Tuscan Countryside with all the elegance of Old World charm. Villa di Felicitá – literally translated to “mansion of happiness” – is the premiere venue for brides looking to evoke the feeling of Italy’s picturesque romance on her big day.

Wedding coordinator and part-owner Ronda James began her business eight years ago after she and her mother had coordinated countless weddings for family and friends. Their mission is to make everyone involved feel as stress-free as possible. After all, weddings are fun!

“We want to provide as much and do as much as we can so that our brides, grooms, mothers, family, and wedding party are able to have fun, enjoy the night and remember it all,” she said. “We don’t want anyone looking back at their wedding day or any event and say they couldn’t enjoy it because they were working too hard!”

200a 0891aEven the venue itself has a very unhurried, relaxed atmosphere. The building boasts two beautiful ceremony locations: its elegant indoor ceremony room can accommodate up to 200 seated guests with a large platform for the bride and groom to take center stage. Outdoors, a private picturesque garden area can accommodate up to 300 + guests and provides a grand pergola for the bride and groom to stand under as they say their I Do’s. Also on-premise is a 6,000 sqft reception room with twinkling lights in the ceiling, hardwood and stained concrete throughout and a 2,000 sqft covered porch area with a gas fireplace.

A must-have for many bride’s is the Bride’s Room, and Villa di Felicitá has one of the finest. “We have a very large Bride’s Room with a platform, full-length corner mirror area so they can see themselves in their lovely dresses! It also has a double sided vanity mirror with salon chairs. This works great for girls who want to get their hair and make-up done on-site,” Ronda said. “We also have a private restroom in the Bride’s Room along with personal, wooden lockers for those who wish to lock up their items. There are also mini-fridges in both the bride and groom rooms that we stock with water and soft drinks.”

208The venue also provides menus prepared by their in-house chef and served by their wait staff. Cuisine ranges from small yet hearty appetizers to sit-down entrees such as Chicken Parmesan and Prime Rib.

“A lot of our brides are from out of this area so by offering an all-inclusive package it helps them with their planning process,” Ronda added. “We offer mostly buffet style menus, but we do have a few station options available as well. We can do sit down dinners for 150 or less.”

There is a built-in bar area where certified bartenders can serve your guests, as well. You can either provide drinks for a certain dollar amount for your guests, or you can have a cash bar option where guests pay for their own drinks. Prices are reasonable and the Villa has a great selection of beer, wine and spirits.

Relaxation and convenience are key components for the team at Villa di Felicitá.

383a“It takes a team of people to make any wedding or event go smoothly. Our staff works with us for every event and knows the ends and outs of our facility, our kitchen, our services and what it takes to make guests and our clients happy,” Ronda said. “Along with our staff and chef, myself and my assistant Lauren McGowen are there for each occasion to ensure that all details are taken care of for the big day! We handle all day of coordination and planning! It is the Villa teamwork that we provide that shows our clients that we are here for them and making sure their day goes as smoothly and perfect as can be!”

Villa di Felicitá is already booking for 2015, so interested brides should schedule a walk-through as soon as they can to be sure to get the date they want at the venue. They book out six months to a year in advance. The more popular dates (like Spring and Fall) are the first to book, so if you are looking at that time of year, its best to book as soon as you can. The Villa can accommodate almost any kind of wedding events you can dream up!
